Loving your stuff! I struggle a lot with having something look dynamic while still having the thing look structured and solid. You obviously have that down. Do you have any tips?
Thx for the nice comments. My better advice would be to study storytelling that speaks to you (for my part: Régis Loisel, Matthieu Lauffray, Guarnido, Barry Windsor-Smith, Mike Mignola) and/or artist with dynamic art (Sean Murphy, Greg Capullo,...)
Looking at what you like from them and try to do an amalgam of all your reference to make your own style...
Thanks for the advice! Hearing it from an artist really helps.
Capullo's my favorite but I never really paid too much attention to Murphy though. Looking at his stuff now though I can tell it's a really good recourse. I'll keep looking for more stuff as well.
Thanks again for the response!
I simply cannot comprehend how you can put some much energy and emotion into so few lines. His knuckles look like they are going to explode. Masterful work, as always!
yeah. one of my fav characters ever
The way you drew him, i like the style, kudos!
Aw man this is awesome, been watching Riddick movies. Nice work.
Man, you should try Alchemy.
Nice ... kudos
I have always been a fan of the character of this tragic and dangerous hero. The shiv looks nice, but I think I would prefer Mr. Riddick's Ulaks too! I do like your art style that uses lots of blacks and whites. It works very nicely with the character, especially since it has a dark and light metaphor about it! Like the Eyeshine too. Nice touch!
Great use of black and white to convey level of badass
that is amazing
I love the shiv
